Description of the application

Non Profit Bookkeeping for Anyone is a Google Sheets–based bookkeeping application using Google Apps Script.

The application is intended to help nonprofit organizations organize bookkeeping information and generate supporting bookkeeping and financial reports.

Each organization generally uses its own copy of the workbook within its own Google account.

Community use

The master workbook is made available for nonprofit community use.

Organizations may create their own copy and use that copy for their internal nonprofit bookkeeping activities.

Users should not enter private organizational data directly into the publicly shared master template.

Your data

You are responsible for the information entered into your copy of the workbook.

Your organization controls its Google account, workbook sharing settings, Drive permissions, and access granted to employees, volunteers, board members, accountants, consultants, or other users.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and records.

Accuracy of information

The application contains tools intended to assist with bookkeeping classifications, reporting, reconciliation, and tax-preparation organization.

Although reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate calculations and mappings, the application may contain errors or may not address every circumstance affecting your organization.

Users are responsible for reviewing their financial records and reports.

No professional relationship

Use of the application does not create an accountant-client, attorney-client, tax-preparer, fiduciary, or financial-advisor relationship.

The application does not replace professional accounting, tax, legal, audit, or financial advice.

Tax preparation assistance

Any references to IRS forms, tax categories, financial statements, or tax-preparation mappings are intended to assist with record organization.

They are not a guarantee that a tax return is complete, accurate, or compliant.

A qualified tax professional should review applicable filings.

Availability and changes

The application may be updated, modified, corrected, or improved over time.

Features may change as the project develops.

No guarantee is made that every feature will remain available indefinitely.

Google services

The application depends on Google services including Google Sheets, Apps Script, and Google Drive.

Availability may therefore also depend on Google service availability, account permissions, authorization settings, or changes made by Google.

Limitation of responsibility

Users are responsible for reviewing their bookkeeping records and maintaining appropriate financial controls.

To the extent permitted by law, the application developer is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect data entry, improper access permissions, user error, incomplete records, unauthorized access to a user’s Google account, or reliance on the application without appropriate professional review.
